The exhibition’s catalog “The Arts of Islam” aims to provide the general public with an objective knowledge of Islamic civilisation and the history of its relations with Europe. Through a selection of works from French national and regional collections, this book reflects the cultural and confessional diversity of Islam over the last thirteen centuries, reminding us that it can be Arab, Iranian, Indian, Asian or African.

The 18 cities hosting the exhibition: Angoulême, Blois, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Figeac, Limoges, Mantes-la-Jolie, Marseille, Nancy, Nantes, Narbonne, Rennes, Rillieux-la-Pape, Rouen, Saint-Denis, Saint-Louis (La Réunion), Toulouse, Tourcoing.
